How much is a Toby Carvery on a Sunday?

£16.49 at Ainley Top, and between £15.79 and £17.29 across the 147 restaurants we checked. Sunday is Toby's standard price: the same carvery is £5 less Monday to Friday and £3 less on Saturday.

Toby's own explanation: "The standard price for our carvery is our Sunday & Bank Holiday price. To offer added value for money to our midweek guests, we discount our food prices between Monday to Saturday." Bank holidays use the Sunday price.

On Saturdays and Sundays the carvery adds roast lamb to the usual turkey, beef, gammon and pork. The meat-free carvery is £14.49 on a Sunday at Ainley Top, and the kids carvery stays at £7.49 every day.

How much is a King Size carvery at Toby?

Going King Size adds £1.99 to any carvery, for extra meat, an extra Yorkshire pudding and two chipolata sausages. At Ainley Top that makes a King Size £13.48 Monday to Friday, £15.48 on Saturday and £18.48 on Sunday.

Toby's FAQ: "If you prefer more, we offer King Size portions for just £1.99 extra, including extra meat, an extra yorkshire pudding and two chipolata sausages for good measure!" Toby's carvers serve a set meat portion, so King Size is the way to get more meat. Vegetables are unlimited either way.

Does Toby Carvery do a meal deal?

Yes. The Toby Meal Deal is 2 courses from £13.79 at Ainley Top, and a third course adds £2. It runs Monday to Saturday, but not on bank holidays, celebration weekends or festive menu dates.

The deal price follows the restaurant's carvery band, from £12.99 to £14.49 across the 147 restaurants we checked. You choose from a shorter list than the main menu.

Is there a separate Toby Carvery lunch or dinner menu?

No. After breakfast ends at 11am, Toby serves the same main menu at lunch and dinner until the restaurant closes, at the same prices.

The only daytime limit is the Yorkie wraps and sandwiches, which are served Monday to Saturday. Most restaurants close at 10pm; see Toby Carvery locations and opening times for yours.

How many calories are in a Toby Carvery?

Toby does not give one figure for a whole plate, because you choose what goes on it. Its average meat portion is 420 kcal Monday to Friday, then each extra adds up: 4 roast potatoes are 192 to 230 kcal, a large Yorkshire pudding 166 kcal and Toby's gravy 32 kcal.

Vegetables are where the calories vary most: carrots are 30 kcal a spoonful, peas 69 and cauliflower cheese 251. Every carvery deck item, with its calories and allergens, is on Toby Carvery calories and allergens.

Can vegans and vegetarians eat at Toby Carvery?

Yes. The meat-free carvery is £2 cheaper than the meat carvery at most restaurants (£9.49 Monday to Friday at Ainley Top), and vegans can ask for vegan gravy and the vegan roast potatoes. The Spicy Butternut Squash Tart comes in a vegan version, and the Bramley Apple Pie and vegan ice cream are vegan puddings.

Is Toby Carvery halal?

No. Toby Carvery says none of the meals on its menus are prepared or cooked to a halal standard, and all its suppliers stun animals before slaughter. Pork and gammon are on the carvery every day.

Toby Carvery has 150 restaurants in its finder: 148 open, Bromsgrove temporarily closed and Dover opening in early December 2026. Most open at 8am and close at 10pm, every day.

Does Toby Carvery do takeaway and delivery?

Yes. You can order click and collect or delivery on Toby's website and app, and many restaurants also list on Uber Eats, Just Eat and Deliveroo. Click and collect uses the same carvery prices as eating in.

Delivery app prices usually match, but not always. Of 9 app listings we checked on 16 October 2026, 7 charged exactly the restaurant's own prices, one Deliveroo listing was 30p cheaper on the carvery, and two Uber Eats listings charged £2 and £5 more for the carvery on a Friday. What does Toby Carvery cost at Christmas?

Christmas Day is 3 courses from £74.99 at Ainley Top (£67.99 to £77.99 across the restaurants we checked), with a £10 deposit per person and pre-order by 1 December. The festive menu runs from 11 November to 31 December, 2 courses from £15.49 midweek at Ainley Top.

Who owns Toby Carvery?

Mitchells & Butlers, the Birmingham pub and restaurant group that also runs brands such as Harvester and Miller & Carter. Toby Carvery started as a brand in 1985 and calls itself the Home of the Roast.

Toby says it serves 21 million meals a year with 4,500 staff. The name comes from the Toby jug, and Toby admits "no one knows for sure" who Toby is. It is not part of Beefeater, which belongs to Whitbread, although many former Beefeater sites became Toby Carverys between 2005 and 2009.
